Interiors that reflect the essence of who you are.
Our vision is to transform your home into a sanctuary of style and elegance that embodies
your unique personality.
At our core, we design interiors that truly reflect the essence and individuality of our
clients. By getting to know you, we gain the insight needed to craft spaces that mirror
your daily life. Our designs blend the cozy charm of Swedish old-world aesthetics with
contemporary and eclectic elements, resulting in beautiful, timeless interiors.
Suzanna Havden Bell is a well-regarded interior designer known for her expertise in Swedish
and Scandinavian design. She runs Swedish Room, an interior design studio based in Coto de
Caza, California, and is praised for her ability to blend classical Swedish interiors with
modern elements — creating spaces that are functional, elegant, and inviting.
Her work often features beautiful Swedish antiques and custom designs, with a signature
attention to detail in color, light, fabric, and texture. Suzanna is a dreamer and a
creator who loves to make beauty — connecting history with modern functionality, and a
life connected with nature and community.
“We turn houses into homes — keeping a keen eye on the details that make a space
functional, beautiful, and truly one-of-a-kind.”

Warm, layered, and textural by design.
Rooted in authenticity, we blend modern and traditional design and infuse our work with
warm, layered, and textural elements as we create beautiful spaces for our clients to
enjoy. Our California-inspired, eclectic design aesthetic is ever-evolving and always
inspired.
Our firm is involved in all aspects of its projects from start to finish. We collaborate
closely with architects and builders from the early conceptual phases through construction,
overseeing the selection of materials, fixtures, and finishes — and finally the sourcing,
procurement, and installation of furnishings and decor.
We cultivate well-crafted designs that enrich and inform the sense of place. Our
sensitivity to scale, simplicity of form, and attention to detail characterize the quality
of our work. We believe that intimate and open collaboration with each client makes a
project successful, ensuring that each home represents the unique vision of its owner.
